3 Months Old!

Where has the time gone? I haven't had much time to post since going back to work. Even though I'm on a reduced work schedule, I miss Lauren like crazy during the day but at the same time I'm glad to be back at work and not have baby on the brain 24/7. I bet my coworkers are sick of me talking about her!

She seems to adjusting well to being at her Grandmas'. Both my mom and Peter's mom take turns watching her while I'm at work. I have to watch myself on the commute home as I tend to drive faster in anticipation of seeing my cheekaboo after a long day of work.

So, what's up with Lauren after three months?

So long, Hobbit ears....the hair is starting to come off near the top of her ears, but her lobes are still pretty hairy. Her hair still stands straight up on top of her head which garners comments from almost everyone that meets her (they all think it's the cutest thing) Peter tries to smooth it down sometimes, but it always resists.

Rollin' rollin' rollin'....She's beginning to roll over! She can roll from back to side but she gets stuck in that position and cries until you either help her all the way over to her tummy or tip her back again. She's starting to grasp and reach for some of her toys but can't hold on for long yet.

Squeeee! Two Saturdays ago we heard what we thought was crying coming from her nursery. We were mistaken, she was squealing with delight at her mobile of animal "friends." Soon to follow were chuckles and full-on adult sounding sneezes (waaaah-chooooo!!)

Sleeping through the night....YESSSSssssss!!!! She has been doing this for a while, but lest I jinx it, I didn't want to mention it until it became a habit. She typically will sleep for 6 hour stretches, have a snack in the early a.m. and is good to go for another couple of hours until it's time to get up and go to grandmas. Last Sunday, 11/12/07, she slept for 8.5 hours straight! "Whaaaa?!" we said when we woke up with a start at 6:00 a.m. and realized that she was still asleep. After checking to make sure she was ok, we gave each other a thumbs up and snoozed until it was time to get ready for work.

Busting out...she has now moved up a size in diapers to a size 2 and has been wearing size 3-6 month clothes for a month now. Since we don't have a Dr. Appt. this month I don't know how much weight/length she's gained.
Leftbrained/rightbrained...we initially thought she'd be a lefty like me, but it looks like she's going to be a right handed. Peter was hoping she'd be a lefty though...for the sake of her future tennis and golf career.

Like an angel....she does the most adorable thing with her hands, she's always clasping them together as if in prayer, even while she sleeps. When she's not doing that, she's trying to stuff her entire fist into her mouth. So far I think she can get 4 fingers in there. What's not so adorable-the drool all over her hands.

Wow, 3 months gone. It's going by way too fast!!!
