Bad Mommy!

This afternoon I was clipping Lauren's fingernails while she slept and and she let out a yelp. She opened her eyes and then went right back to sleep. She fully awoke a few minutes later and halfway though changing her diaper I noticed smears of blood on her sleeve. BLOOD! I must have clipped some skin off while doing her fingernails. There was a lot of blood for such a tiny little cut and she didn't even seem to be in pain or notice the droplets of blood dripping from her finger. I apologized about thirty times before I got the bleeding to stop and because they don't make band aids for tiny fingers we ended up wrapping her whole hand with gauze and tape and slipping a mitten over it. It didn't help ease my mommy guilt when Peter kept shaking his head in disbelief and repeating "Mommy cut you, baby!"
