Well, this week Lauren graduated to her Big Girl Bed. Well....not quite...it's a bed, and it's a twin size. But it's only a mattress. We wanted to keep her a little low to the ground at first. The girl moves so much when she sleeps.
This is also a big deal because she's now sleeping in her own room. When we first moved to this house we kept her close to us in the master bedroom. First in her crib, then at the foot of our bed in her little toddler size mattress. I think she has been ready to sleep in her own room for a while now...it was just so much for comforting for US to have her close by.
Peter finally bit the bullet and last weekend without warning, put the mattress in her room along with her sleeping acoutrements: her sippy cup, her Barney stuffed animal, her blanky, the boombox with her lullabye CD.
So far, I have been sleeping with her in her room. I will gradually move out of there by the end of the week and we will finally, and sadly, have our room back.
