Mardi Gras came early to our house this year, thanks to Carolyn who brought over a King Cake and some Harry Connick, Jr. Mardi Gras music. (BTW, did you know that Mardi Gras came to the U.S. through Mobile Alabama...NOT New Orleans? Carolyn, a Mobile native, schooled us on the origins of Mardi Gras). Even though she didn't get the baby in the King cake (Peter did), she made friends with the other baby in the house.
