Separation Anxiety

On Wednesday, I went on my first business trip since we went to Hawaii during the 2nd trimester of my pregnancy. I attended a class at the Courtyard in downtown San Francisco with 2 of my colleagues and it was the longest period of time I had spent away from my cheekaboo thus far. I was out of the house by 5 a.m. and didn't return until about 10:30 P.M. Dinner at Absinthe and dessert at Citizen Cake almost made up for having to pump standing up in the ladies room. I had a good time and it was the closest thing to a girls' night out that I've had in a long time (I had my first cocktail in about 15 months!) but I had to be careful not to drive too fast as I sped home in the rain. I was definitely missing Lauren..badly! I was afraid that she would be mad at me for being away so long but the finger puppets that I got her from a little shop in Hayes Valley made it all ok.
