Apple Hill is only a 1 hour drive away so we threw on some jackets and headed out there with my mom. It was a bit windy and cold but thankfully the sun peeked out every now and then to warm our noses and fingers. I had never been to Apple Hill and didn't know what to expect. We picked the biggest farm, High Hill, hoping that there would be more to do than just buy apples. We lucked out, they had some fun activities like trout fishin in a stocked pond and pony rides. The craft booths were plentiful but bleh (mostly "old-people crafts" so I wasn't interested in any of them).
The smell of freshly baked apple pie and apple doughnuts filled the air. Aaaahhhh..we stocked up on 3 varieties of apples: Pink Lady, Winesap, and Empire. We bought 2 pies, including a Sour Cream Apple pie. I love me some pie!
The highlight of the day for Lauren was the pony ride. She fell in love with a pony named Valentine and couldn't stop talking about it all the way home. ("Tantine Horsey!")

With her Valentine

Sad face because she wanted the ride the pony again.
